Miami has so much to offer to almost anyone who would be wanting to plan a trip to the “American Riviera”, but the cruises are among one of the best reasons to visit Miami! Schedule a cruise departing from Miami, but be sure to allow yourself to arrive a couple of days before the cruise departs and a couple of days after you arrive back in Miami to be able to enjoy everything that this wonderful city has to offer! There is so much to see and do in Miami that you don’t want to fly in the night before your cruise departs and leave the night after you get back. The actual cruise industry is great and we love having the port here in Miami! Cruising the Caribbean is a great way to experience so many places in a short amount of time. The Caribbean has so many diverse and interesting cultures in such a close proximity, that it would be a shame not to take advantage of one of the best ways to get a sampling of much of it. It’s amazing to go to bed and wake up the next day entering a brand new island to explore. There’s a lot of fund to be had on the cruise ships as well. Depending on the cruise line that you choose, some of these ships have great waterslides, pools, rock climbing walls, but the best ones have stationary wave machines where you can surf an endless wave right one the deck of the ship. Some of these cruise ships even have ice-skating rinks in the belly of the ship, so you could be in the middle of the Caribbean and ice-skating on your ship! Just be careful because the one downfall we’ve found is that the food is never-ending…there’s pizza, burgers, ice cream and even room service available to you non-stop, so you make put on a few pounds during your voyage, but it’s all well worth it and a ton of fun!
